I'm retired Aircraft Machinist from Lockheed Martin in Ga.
35 Years in the Shop 10 of in aircraft. I piddle with Hot Rods and Light Sport aircraft on the side to Make extra money for my S10 Poject
The Pic is an airplane My Brother and I built and Sold in our Hanger Slash Hot Rod Shop Plenty of room 132 feet x 48 feet building

its pretty fun for the most part, but just like a car it has some jobs on it that suck to do. it's alot like working on cars but everything has to be right the first time and checked over twice. there is alot of paperwork involved, but if this breaks down the pilots cant exactly pull over. Right now i'm running my hangars hydraulic shop, which is really fun when I have work, but kinda slow compared to being an airframe mechanic. I spent all of 2007 just tearing these things down and rebuilding them, that was the most fun I have had with working on these so far.

this is my first post here but thought ide reply to this, yall have some awesome jobs!

im a Grinder for GCI we grind spindles for honda and toyota, i make chump change but i dont have many bills so it works out :P

in my spare time im a backyard mechanic,working on freinds/familys cars and on my Larry Shaw Dirt Modifide and my 90' s10 single cab short bed.

Thanks for Welcoming me :) this site seems to have alot of useful info and everyone seems pretty cool around here, im sure ill be around for quite a while, as we all know v8 s10s are never complete :D
