I have done both.

Only thing about street racing that I like is when the real racers race and there is a good amount of money on the line. But I have NEVER EVER been where there was traffic. Usually out in no mans land where the only thing you have to worry about would be if a deer or possum was going to run out.

But I rather do organized racing at the track because you do not have to worry about hitting innocent people, taking out multiple of cars, and there is safety personal there. Plus there is more friendships made there and if you need a tool or maybe a hand there are many there to help. Plus food, bathrooms, lights, race gas man/woman, shit talking (more at the track) , funny announcers, alot of nice vehicles, and of course PROOF who fast you went and food and bathrooms lol Fat boy gotta eat and pee.

I call BS I live in riverside County So. Cal. There is plenty of raceing all over the southland. Look at the schedule for Fontana ( auto club speedway ) Also berona
in S.D. and Bakersfield. All with in a few hours. There is alway Las Vegas for a fun weekend Plus The Sellby factory is next to Vegas. Just My two Cent

its bs? just cuz ur only a couple of min away from fontana thats ur local track my local track is irwindale how often do u go to irwindale to race? next closes track to me is pomona but how often is open?? i just went to fontanas website and the first thing that said was: Drag strip is closed December 14 - January 1, 2009. and going to vegas and bakersfield, berona in sd? might as well go to sacramento while we are at it. im sorry it might be easy for u to have enough time and money to make trips like that. but i work 5days a week 12hour shifts and i dont make crazy money to make trips like that.

Closed dec 14th to jan 1st. That's terrible. I should post a picture looking out my living room window, it's white, 2 feet of snow. We are shut down about 6 months out of the year. Mark, you probably have about the same this weekend. The fact that you have a 2 week closure really breaks my heart...
